The 1000 Faces of Walthamstow project
The Brief
To design a website showcase for this beautifully simple and
compelling art project. Hal Satterthwaite set out to document
the extraordinary diversity of this east London borough and the
result is a wonderful collection of 1000 photographic portraits
that has been widely seen and featured in the local & national
press.
The site required a simple effective means to display the huge
number of photographs. People can search via name, thumbnail
image or just browse the pictures as well as seeing them in a
Flash slideshow with audio track.
